Skomer 2025 - Part 2

With all of the images that I have from the one trip I have had to Skomer this year (there are more booked), it would be a shame not to post a few more.

Puffin Backs

I’m intrigued by puffin backs. They appear well-dressed when photographed from behind, as if preparing for a black tie event.

This final image is my favourite from the first trip.

This was a spontaneous image on the path, one that I don’t think would have been possible, or would at least have been a lot more difficult to capture, without the tilt EVF adapter on the GFX. I wasn’t at a place where I was able to stop, and certainly not able to sit or even lie down. By using the tilt EVF, I was able to focus manually through the ferns and bluebells.

Since the last post, I have been able to book another few trips planned to Skomer this year. It’s handy to live locally.
